Overland Awarded Resellers Choice Award From Computer Technology Review for EnterpriseXpress DLT Library

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 28, 1999--In the May 1999 issue of Computer Technology Review, Overland Data Inc. (Nasdaq:OVRL), a technology leader in data storage and backup products, was awarded the "Resellers Choice" designation for its recently announced EnterpriseXpress(TM) automated DLTtape(a) library.

This editorial award follows Overland's numerous other awards for outstanding product design and reliability, including Computer Reseller News Editors' Choice for Overland's LoaderXpress(TM), an affordable desktop automated DLT solution, and a Network Computing award for the LibraryXpress(TM), Overland's scalable automated library.

The May 1999 edition lists the exceptional features, performance and price as key elements of Overland's EnterpriseXpress high-end automated storage system.

EnterpriseXpress is available in two models tailored to fit individual system requirements and budget considerations. The base configuration provides two DLT7000 tape drives and 26 cartridge slots, supporting customer installations with 150 to 300 GB of disk capacity and generating backup rate of up to 36 GB per hour.

This unit can easily be upgraded to 108GB/hour performance and 2.03 TB of total native capacity. The premium model features four DLT7000 drives and 52 cartridge slots, targeting enterprise customers with 300 to 600 GB of data. It can also be upgraded to provide 3.5 TB of native capacity and 180 GB per hour speeds.
