Joint Pan-European Campaign Bundles Symantec's Backup Exec 10 and
                          Overland's REO SERIES(TM)

WOKINGHAM, England, Sept. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Overland Storage, Inc. (Nasdaq: OVRL) today announced a partnership with Symantec Corporation to provide European customers with simple packaged solutions for their storage needs. Together, Overland and Symantec will offer mid-sized companies high-speed data backup and a near instantaneous and more reliable restore.

The product bundles, consisting of BackupExec10 from Symantec (formerly VERITAS) and REO appliances from Overland, can increase the speed of backup and recovery, enable instant restore, and reduce back-up failures. The combination of BackupExec 10 for Windows Servers and the REO will also enable companies to safeguard multiple servers simultaneously.

"Together with Overland, we are now able to provide our customers with cost-effective and very fast backup and recovery solutions," said Helen Wood, mid-market sales director, Symantec. "With new regulations coming into play, storage solutions have to become ever more advanced. The combination of Backup Exec 10 and Overland's REO gives a very cost effective backup to disk solution for mid-sized companies."

"We are delighted to have further enhanced this relationship with Symantec," said Chris James, EMEA marketing director, Overland Storage. "It will enable us to provide customers with a solution that meets their business needs and at a cost-effective price. Currently one in five backups fails because of the human element in the backup process. With the combination of Backup Exec 10 and our REO disk products, companies are able to automate this process taking away the human element, which will lead to a decreased failure rate."

VERITAS BackupExec 10 for Windows servers, the gold standard in Windows data protection, and the Overland Storage REO, the market-leading disk-based backup and recovery appliance, will be combined to produce a cost-effective high-speed backup and recovery solution.

The campaign will run from September 2005 until the end of December in the UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Italy and Scandinavia.
